Sunsets Left counts the sunsets remaining for someone your age, using public life tables. It is published by NguyenInDoubt on the Apple App Store for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and on Google Play for Android (package com.nguyenindoubt.sunsetsleft).

Frequently asked questions

Where does the number come from?

The app uses public life tables: the Social Security Administration period life table for the United States and WHO Global Health Observatory tables elsewhere. The result is a statistical average for someone your age and selected life-table group. It is not a prediction about any individual.

Where is my data stored?

The app creates no account with NguyenInDoubt and uses no developer-run server. Your birthdate, life-table selection, and country stay on your device. On Apple platforms, they can also sync through your own private iCloud key-value storage. On Android, they stay in the app's private on-device storage, except where your own Android backup settings apply.

How do I change my birthdate, life-table selection, or country?

Open Settings in the app and use the reset control, labeled Start over in current versions. This clears the saved details and takes you through setup again so you can choose different information.

How do I delete my data?

Use Start over in Settings to remove your birthdate, life-table selection, and country from the device and, on Apple platforms, from your iCloud key-value storage. A Delete Account control is added beginning with the app update released after August 20, 2026 and erases those same details. If your installed version does not show it yet, use Start over. Deleting the app removes everything else. There is no developer-side account or server data to delete.

How do I report a bug?

Email support@nguyenindoubt.com with what happened and the steps that led to it. Please include your platform (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or Android), operating system version, and Sunsets Left app version.
